Unmatched Expertise & Service in Surgical Pathology
PRW Laboratories is a facility that provides comprehensive services in anatomic pathology, both in regard to primary diagnostic cases from clinical physicians and also consultation cases from other pathologists. It has a unique staffing structure. Dr. David Rowe is the medical director of PRW and one of its founders; he has been a successful practitioner in the private sector for 10 years. Our other professional staff members are full-time university-based academics, who serve as consultants at PRW through an agreement with their primary employer. Hence, PRW offers the benefits of its physicians’ expertise over a wide range of subjects in anatomic pathology. Collectively, Dr. Rowe and our consultants hold medical licensure in nine geographic locales in the U.S. (AL, DC, OH, MN, MO, NC, NY, VA, and WV) and several of them have been in practice for 20 years or more.
Because of the subspecialty training and experience that all of its board-certified physicians possess, PRW can provide astute case interpretations in the areas of breast pathology, cytopathology, dermatopathology, head & neck pathology, gastrointestinal pathology, gynecological pathology, hematopathology, liver pathology, neuropathology, pediatric pathology, renal pathology, soft tissue & bone pathology, urological pathology, and veterinary pathology. In all, 10 pathologists comprise our consulting staff.
We are dedicated to the accurate and timely completion of the cases we receive, using several potential methods for transmittal of results. Telephone consultations by our professional staff with clinicians or with other pathologists are also readily available. Another important goal at PRW is the education of residents and fellows. Individuals in pathology training programs near our laboratory and elsewhere are all welcome to participate in the evaluation of the cases we receive for analysis.
